The GCL
team Valkenswaard United (consisting of the four exceptional riders Marcus Ehning, Jur Vrieling, Alberto Zorzi and Maurice Tebbel in addition to Bertram Allen), headed to Doha last weekend for the
2018 GCL Final as the main challengers to the
London Knights team all season, but were unable to deliver the result they needed in Doha to take the Championship win.

However, the powerful team repeated last years success to finish second in the overall ranking of the team championship winning €1.68 million. Alberto and Marcus teamed up in Doha, for the final round in the Championship.
Once again, Bertram has played an essential role representing the team, who also became the first team to take the Championship title in 2016 followed up by finishing second in 2017.
Now the team is looking forward to the
Playoffs in Prague, that will take place from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th December 2018. The PraguePlayoffs will be the first indoor event on the Global Champions Tour and GCL calendar, with the winning team alone taking home €3 million - part of the historic prize purse for a single event in show jumping.
