Runner-up finish for Ireland in the Barcelona Challenge Cup
The Irish Show Jumping team finished as runners-up in yesterday's
FEI Challenge Cup final in Barcelona, Spain. The reigning European Champions finished with a total of nine faults. The victory went to The United Arab Emirates who finished with only three time faults. Brazil finished third on 11 faults.

The 1m60 course counted 13 obstacles and 16 efforts. Bertram and Molly lowered a single fence to finish with four faults. Shane Sweetnam finished on the five, while Shane Breen produced a brilliant clear round helping the team to finish with a score of nine penalties. Denis Lynch was the discard score as he finished with nine faults.
