Meet the team: Nathalie Heusinkveld
Get to know Nathalie Heusinkveld (NED). Nathalie is our stable rider and has been with us for four years already. If she didn't ride, she would be a veterinary assistant or work with dogs. Her favorite horse in the stable is Calafrieda and her favorite memory from working here is from having a water fight!! (Maybe we should do that more often? ....)

What do you love the most about working with horses?
Being always outside and that every day is different. I also love to see and feel the progress of a horse.
Do you have a favourite among the horses and why?
Calafrieda. I just love everything about her. She is a mare, and she will let you know that she is, but even on her "days" she can always put a smile on my face.
If you didn't work with horses, what else would you do?
Veterinary assistant or something with dogs. Definitely not an office job.
Describe a perfect morning in the stable!
Good weather, so the horses can go in the fields. Then, having the mucking out and changing walkers done quickly so we can have a coffee and still have plenty of time after that to start of the riding. Always like to get a lot done in the morning.
How long have you been working here?
In May I have been here for exactly four years! And I never had one day I wasn't happy to go to work.
What's the best time of the day in the stable?
Just after coffee when I get on the first horse, then the day actually really starts for me.
What's your favorite memory from your time here?
There is a lot of good memory's from the horses on all shows they have been. But I think my favorite memory from here is from when I just started here, it was a really hot day and the work was done. Somebody started a water-fight, and we ended up having water-fight with everyone. I couldn't believe it when I saw Bertram running around the place with water balloons too.
Who's the best character in the stable? (Person)
Marlen, no doubt. She just knows everything.
Who has the worst dress sense in the stable?
Haha that's me no doubt. I always put something on whats not completely ugly but comfortable. And as we all know, comfortable is not always the prettiest.
Describe your favourite evening?
I have three horses of my own. My perfect evening is when they are all ridden and were good. Then head home with my dog and watch a good movie with Kevin, my boyfriend.

Family, friends and my dog, Max!

What's one thing the stable couldn't live without?
Redmills and Foran, to keep the horses in the best possible condition!
