Bertram finishes as runner-up in Bordeaux Grand Prix

Thirty-two combinations started in the 1.60m class in the Bordeaux €155,000 Land Rover Grand Prix, with seven qualifying for the second round, six of whom recorded a double clear.

Bertram finished as runner-up, riding the nine-year-old Izzy By Picobello, coming home just under a second behind Belgian winner Pieter Devos. Ludger Beerbaum finished third, Penelope Leprevost fourth.

Allen collected €23,000 for his runner-up finish, while he had the added bonus of being crowned Leading Rider of the five-star show after a string of prize-winning results:
