Bertram claims CSI3* Star Grand Prix in Eschweiler

It's been a successful weekend for Bertram and his youngsters in Eschweiler this weekend, claiming three wins during three days, including today's CSI3* Grand Prix win.

46 combinations took place in today’s Grand Prix, with only six double clears. Bertram and the  9-year -old gelding GK Casper jumped a speedy clear in the 1.50m jump-off with a time of 35.66,  to beat Denis Lynch who jumped clear in a time of 36.09 into second place. 3rd place was claimed by New Zealander Bruce Goodin. Bertram and Casper also won the 1.45m class on Friday.

- Casper was brilliant this weekend. I am happy to see another one of the young horses stepping up to a higher level. Having won on Friday, it was great to see him coming out again today, Bertram said.

At Saturday Bertram and his other 9-year-old gelding, Christy JNR, won the 1.50M GP Qualifier, jumping a clear second phase in 25,93 seconds. With this time he beat Denis Lynch who ended on second place with Echo de Laubry. Pius Schwizer completed the podium.

- I am very happy with Christy winning the 1.50m ranking class at his first attempt, Bertram commented.

At Thursday, Bertram and Christy ended at 6th place in the 1.40m class.
