
Bertram and Qonquest de Rigo Bound for the European Championships in A Coruña! 🇮🇪
We’re proud to share that Bertram and the talented gelding Qonquest de Rigo have been selected as part of the Irish squad for the FEI Jumping European Championship in A Coruña, Spain, from July 16th–20th.

Horse Sport Ireland High Performance Show Jumping Manager Michael Blake has announced a strong team aiming to build on Ireland’s silver medal from Milan 2023. Alongside Bertram and Qonquest, the squad includes Daniel Coyle with Legacy, Seamus Hughes Kennedy with ESI Rocky, Darragh Kenny with Eddy Blue, and Cian O’Connor with Iron Man.
Bertram and 9yo Qonquest de Rigo have delivered an outstanding season so far, with impressive results on the international circuit and a crucial role in securing Ireland’s qualification for the Longines League of Nations Final.
Blake commented: “We’re very excited for A Coruña — it’s always special to represent Ireland at a major championship, and our riders are ready for the challenge.”
