Fourteen combinations made it through to the jump-off in Verona yesterday, with Allen and Molly looking to repeat their World Cup win from 2014. The duo raced into the lead when posting a clear in 38.60 seconds as eighth to go against the clock. Despite a perfect speedy round, Niels Bruynseels (BEL) and Martin Fuchs (SUI) proved to be even faster (37.03 / 38.40), before Germany’s Daniel Deusser and Calisto Blue eventually came out on top with a clear in 36.83 when last to jump.

Bertram was delighted with his wonderful longtime partner:
"Molly jumped fantastic. I'm looking forward to her next show in Doha."

The result gives Allen his first points on the World Cup league table (13 points). He now sits in 15th place following the 3rd leg in Verona.

2nd with Casper
Sunday showed to be a lucky day for Bertram and his horses. A spotless round with the 10yo gelding GK Casper took the duo to a brilliant runner-up finish in the 1m45 accumulator class earlier in the day. More about Casper

Christy placed in the 1m55 on Friday.
Another horse that also showed off in Verona was the 10yo gelding Christy. With 16 of the best horse-and-rider combinations in the world making the cut into the race against the clock on Friday's Prestige Jump-Off, this was never going to be an easy one to win. But Bertram and the talented chestnut showed to be the quickest of them all. No one could beat the duo's time, as they stopped the clock on 34.43. Despite a speedy round, the duo had was unfortunate to have a pole down and finished 6th. The reigning European champion, Peder Fredricson from Sweden, scorched to victory.

This week, Bertram turns to Lyon for the fourth round of the World Cup series, bringing Izzy by Picobello and Gin Chin, while Molly's next show will be in Doha the week after.
