On Thursday, our 7- year-old mare
Calafrieda opened the weekend with a runner-up position in the 7yo class.
On Friday, Bertram and
Dino W finished 3rd in the Prijs HORSEMAN 1m45 Ranking class. On the same day Bertram finished 3rd in the 1m40 class, riding the nine-year-old gelding “It’s me” (Cicero Z), one of the new youngsters at the stable. A brilliant little horse, part owned by Ballywalter Farms and Ronnoco Jump.
The six-year-old mare
Baila du Loup (Sandro Boy – Drakkar des Hutins) also had a good round on Friday, by finishing 7th in the 5 and 6-year-old class.
Saturday was another successful day for the seven-year-old
Calafrieda (Canto 16 – Unke (Lavall 5)), where she was victorious in the 7yo class Prijs JORIS DE BRABANDER. Calafrieda has recently showcased her talents numerous times. A few weeks ago she also won the 7yo class at the Dublin Horse Show - an exciting horse for the future!
Bertram says:
- Calafrieda has been exceptional this summer from Dublin to Aachen and plenty other places. I think she could make a great Grand Prix horse. On Sunday, our young gelding
Casper had an excellent round in the 1m35 class taking runner-up position in a field of 60 horses, while the stallion,
Dino W finished 8th in the 1m45/1m50 Ranking class with only one down in the jump off. A strong performance.
Also, the new youngster at the stable, Go to Fortuna, had a good clear round in the 5 and 6-year- old class on Sunday.
Go to Fortuna is owned by Noel Delahunty and is showing a lot of potential.
Next weekend Bertram will be competing in Lausanne.
