Bertram Allen and Gin Chin with 5th place in the Equita Masters in Lyon
Saturday's highlight at the
CSI5* -W EquitaLyon was the
1m60 Equita Masters, where the 20 best riders from Friday's Grand Prix were qualified to compete in a challenging 1m60 course.

The ten best pairs over the first round, were then set to continue in the second round over a shortened track. Bertram was riding his new mount, the 11-year-old gelding
Gin Chin van het Lindenhof (Chin Chin x Calido I), who set in for a beautiful and fast second round to finish in 5th place.
Pieter Devos (BEL) and Gin D secured the win, Lauren Hough and Waterford (USA) took runner-up position. Alberto Zorzi (ITA) and Contanga finished 3rd.
Bertram
took over the ride of Gin Chin a month ago. The gelding was previously ridden by Marcus Ehning who took over the ride from Belgium's Fabrice Galdini in 2015.
