Bertram expresses how delighted he is with the only nine-year-old gelding making an outstanding championship debut on a very challenging course set at 1.65m, with 14 fences and 17 efforts:

"I'm very happy with Pacino; he jumped fantastic on a big track with a lot to look at! It's Pacino's first championship, and he's only nine and jumped clear, which is great. We've been here already for a long time, so we were ready to go. Still, going straight into such an important round maybe suits more experienced horses better, by he managed that brilliant, so I'm very proud of him! "

The 30 best riders from today's qualifier, counting 73 riders, will move on to tomorrow's Individual final starting at 12 CET time.

PROMISING START FOR THE IRISH
All three Irish riders were supreme in today's qualifier, with Cian O'Connor and Darragh Kenny delivering super clears, making it look promising ahead of tomorrow's individual final and the team competition starting later this week.
