Wexford-born Bertram, 21, is 15th in the Longines World Showjumping Rankings and was recently named The Irish Field Senior Leading Showjumper of the Year for 2016 after yet another impressive 12 months.
Runner-up at the Grand Prix at Bordeaux earlier this month, Bertram won at the Hong Kong Masters, Paris Saut Hermes and the Global Champions Tours in Hamburg, Cannes and Monaco.
As well as working at Mount Juliet Equestrian on a regular basis, Bertram will be hosting elite training clinics, with very limited numbers to offer the ultimate personal training experience, at the centre over the next three years. The first of these is on 10th and 11th July.
“The facilities at Mount Juliet Equestrian are absolutely exceptional, right up there with the best around, and I’m looking forward to spending time there. The calibre of horses to hire for lessons and clinics are excellent and the grounds of Mount Juliet Estate are the perfect place for horse and rider to relax in. I think the partnership will be a major benefit to myself and my horses and I’m excited to be working with Mount Juliet Equestrian. The clinics will also be great fun. I look forward to helping other young riders progress their show jumping careers”.
With a 400-year association with horses, Mount Juliet Equestrian is one of the most advanced in Ireland and has two all-weather arenas and a full set of FEI approved show jumps on the 200 acre Estate which boasts a Championship Golf Course and one of Ireland best hotels.
Jacqueline Murphy, owner of Mount Juliet Equestrian said:
“We are very excited to be working with Bertram and giving riders the change to experience his horsemanship and advice on a one to one basis. Having someone of this caliber in the yard will be of great benefit to all our clients”.
